Randall Hendrickson

President, Founder: The Intrepid Group LLC and Horizon RV Resorts

Formerly Vice President and General Manager for a nationally recognized RV Resort group, in 2003 Randy formed The Intrepid Group LLC, and Horizon RV Resorts, a management/consulting /sales firm serving the outdoor hospitality industry. Randy has been involved in the industry for 14 years, managing multi-property operations in California, Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Florida, Colorado and Utah. From 2003 to 2006 Randall served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for CTPA Inc. (California Travel Parks Association, now CalARVC) where he chaired the Public Relations/Communications committee and was a Director on the CTPA Services Board. Randall also served on the AZ ARVC (formerly ATPA) Board of Directors from 2006 to 2008.

Randy enjoyed success very early in his career when the property for which he was General Manager was nominated to ARVC by TACO (Texas Association of Campground Owners) as Texas' nominee for 'Large Park of The Year'. Randy has built steadily on that success, bringing to bear a 27 year career in sales, marketing, web development and property management in the formation of Horizon RV Resorts. More recently, one of Randy's properties (www.flyingflags.com) was voted CTPA 'Large Park Of The Year' for 2005, and was co-winner of the 'Web Site of the Year' award. Rapid but responsible growth, fueled by the need for Horizon RV Resort's unique services, has resulted in a managed portfolio of more than 2,300 RV and Park Model sites and Motel units in 7 states, with a portfolio value in excess of $119M. Randy enjoys a respectful relationship with leading tour, travel and hospitality industry groups, as well as state organizations. In working with multiple vendors over many years, Randy has assembled a team of the industry's top performers and can target the ideal solution for your needs. Beverly Johnson

Vice President, Operations: Horizon RV Resorts

Beverly brings to Horizon RV Resorts more than 25 years of impeccable history in sales, marketing, team building and office systems. As Regional Manager for a nationally recognized RV Resort group, Beverly was charged with multi-park responsibility overseeing policies and procedures on virtually every level of campground operations. She continues to initiate and support installation of reservation and accounting software, wireless internet infrastructure and procedures, Online reservations procedures, and is an expert at transitioning properties from prior ownership's systems to 'The Intrepid System'. She is highly adept at property turnaround and implementation of our unique operational efficiencies.

Beverly excels at staff hospitality and operational training, rally group recruiting, park activities, and sets the standard to which your staff should aspire. She has the unique ability to evaluate existing operations, locate efficiencies to be gained by streamlining operations and reducing payroll, but with the enviable result of producing increased effectiveness of staff and enhanced guest experience. Dan Baumann

Director of Marketing

Dan has been involved in the RV industry for more than 15 years and at the helm at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, near Santa Barbara, CA for the last 10. Under Dan’s leadership Flying Flags successfully transferred ownership in 2004 and since then has completed over $2M in property renovations and amenity upgrades. Dan possesses an extensive technical background with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, and 8 years as a Systems Consultant at Exxon Company International’s Caribbean & Latin American headquarters in Coral Gables, FL. Dan’s unique blend of skills and rich experience in the RV Industry provides him the ability to bridge marketing concepts using today’s technology into scaled, targeted and cost-effective programs in elevating the visibility and profitability of properties under the Horizon RV Resorts’ management.

Sandy Hafer

Director of Human Resources

Sandy brings to Horizon RV Resorts a vast and distinguished background in many areas. Sandy held various Management positions with JC Penney for 19 years, including eight years as Human Resources Manager for the call center, with ten Managers and more than 600 employees under her purview. At the conclusion of her career with JC Penney, Sandy’s entrepreneurial spirit is evidenced by virtue of being owner/operator of a very successful restaurant and tavern for nine years. After selling this business, in 2003 she began enjoying the RV lifestyle full-time and assumed Managerial roles at a high-profile RV Resort which was later sold, arriving at Horizon RV Resorts’ Las Vegas RV Resort in 2006. Under Sandy’s direction this Resort has enjoyed tremendous growth in revenue, guest satisfaction, and the elevating of the property to true Resort caliber. Sandy’s tremendous experience and phenomenal results are the product of her commitment to excellence in all she does, translating to superior value added to all of Horizon RV Resorts’ managed portfolio.
